Southern Style

Remember that soirée Molly and I threw for our friend Alex? Well, this past weekend, she got hitched! It was a lovely celebration, and we could not be more excited for the newlyweds!

The ceremony took place at the beautiful Church of St. Mary in Fulton, Missouri. You know that gorgeous building connected to the Churchill Museum that just beams a formal romance? Yes, that one. And following the ceremony was the reception at Sorenson Estate, which is a must if you’re looking for a Southern plantation look! It’s stunning!

Just like the theme of her shower, the wedding was filled with classy, simple and Southern-inspired elements that made guests feel welcome and cared for. Take a look!

You can’t have a Southern without a monogram, right? Well, I must preface that Alex LOVES a good monogram. She owns more monogrammed items that I ever imagined, and she has surely gotten me hooked on them! The day started with all of the bridesmaids getting ready at The Broadway hotel, and Alex kept us organized all day with these adorable monogrammed clutches that she gave to each of us as bridesmaid gifts.

image2Inside the tent, seating varied between banquet-style tables and round table seating. The tables were adorned with garlands, gorgeous white, cream and yellow flower arrangements created by Alan Anderson’s Just Fabulous Florist. And my absolute favorite part of the arrangements were the pineapple accents that Alex decided to incorporate. That is definitely going to be a trend we see throughout the rest of the summer!

As the sun set, guests played corn hole on customized platforms with Zach and Alex’s monogram. And just as dusk was creeping in, the couple shared their first dance under glowing strands of light on the outdoor dance floor.

Oh yes, a lifetime of happiness for these newlyweds. Congratulations, Zach and Alex! It was such an honor being able to celebrate your big day with you!
