In with the old and out with the new! I was super pumped to officially change my name (hello new monogram!), but I wasn’t quite sure where to start. That is until my sister Alyssa was the one who introduced me to the website, and when I visited it, all I could think was, “This is genius. Why did I not think of this?” You know, one of those ideas that would have been so easy to make a killing off of, but someone else thought about it before you.
Hitch Switch is an online portal to assist brides, who are changing their name, through the process following their wedding. Not only is it super user-friendly, you can customize it and pick which level you would like to purchase or participate in.

After seeing this, I was completely sold. For someone who is usually very together and always has a plan, the task of a name change was daunting. Legalities and timeframes of what needed to get done when was so confusing. And how embarrassing is it to step up to a counter at a DMV or social security office not knowing which form you are supposed to have with you or that you were supposed to bring proof of home address, insurance, etc. Ahhh…it’s stressing me out just typing about this.
The packages are formatted into three options:

- Full Service
Because we had just spent lots of money on a wedding, honeymoon and a new house, I opted for the cheaper option. And because I had access to a printer, it made it easier. My sister opted for the Full service package, which was also their most popular option. Both of us were super satisfied with our services.
